The Commercial division is Allianz Australia's largest distribution channel whose customers include Commercial, Corporate and international buyer groups throughout Australia and New Zealand. We currently have an opening for a Senior Property Underwriter to join the Sydney team to work on ISR property business, focusing on both new business and renewals. About the role Underwriting complex new business and renewals in line with the AAL Underwriting Framework, ASU, and delegated authority limits. Providing technical leadership, coaching, and support to regional underwriters and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team. Managing workflows for complex accounts to ensure high-quality service delivery and alignment with growth and profitability goals. Identifying and converting profitable new business opportunities while maintaining strong retention rates through effective broker engagement. Building strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and providing accurate risk assessments and escalation recommendations. About you Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and industry accreditations, with extensive experience in a commercial underwriting role within a complex, matrixed general insurance organization. Experience in underwriting ISR risks nis required. Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships, exchange industry knowledge, and achieve beneficial outcomes. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively. In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements impacting the organization. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and making informed, data-driven decisions A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
