WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 4+ years of commercial strategy experience - preferably within a marketplace business or mobile app. Bonus if this is in the travel industry.
  • Ideally, a combination of working in complex matrix organizations and fast-moving high growth environments.
  • Some leadership experience with an ability to influence across various stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship skills both inside and outside an organisation
  • Hustler mindset, willing to embrace the ambiguity, overcome challenges and ‘get things done’
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Monetisation is at the heart of Trainline’s strategy. The core objective is to identify and scale new non fee propositions that solve our customer needs and drive profitability in UK and International markets. Partnerships plays a central role within this strategy. have an ambitious multiyear plan that will see a step change our revenue performance in the partnerships vertical – which requires a Think Big mindset in the pursuit of new ideas.
We are looking for a highly strategic and results oriented individual to join the Monetisation (Revenue) team at Trainline as a Senior Proposition Manager - Revenue Partnerships. This role will be the commercial lead of the revenue partnership strategy and performance. You will work closely with the country leadership teams, finance, product & tech, and other key stakeholders to ensure that the partnership strategy helps drive net revenue while also helping with broader commercial goals. You will also develop and nurture key strategic ideas. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of working cross-functionally to deliver results in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. They will also posses strong relationship management skills as we look to drive incremental value from strategic partnerships.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead on defining and delivery of new revenue opportunities. As a high frequency platform what is the right type of strategic partnerships and models? This includes working with country, customer teams to understand customer and go to market needs as well as building a sharp knowledge of what good looks like on other platforms.
  • Own the revenue partnership vision working with Product and Design teams on where partnerships shows up in the product
  • Provide best-in-class partnership management, building strong relationships with external stakeholders to develop successful partner initiatives and roadmaps
  • Own the revenue performance of partnership verticals. Ability to identify revenue risks and opportunities on regular cadence with an ability to articulate performance highlights senior leadership at Trainline
  • Ensure seamless delivery of planned partnership activity, managing various channel activations in a timely and professional manner through collaboration with product, design and engineering teams
  • Lead cross functional stakeholders across country teams, growth teams, brand and monetisation to ensure visibility of new partnership initiatives
