MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., propulsion industry)
  • Working knowledge of the propulsion industry
  • Ability to help identify resources and processes the will improve the manufacturing efficiency of propulsion hardware
  • Knowledge of ECSS (E-10/30/60), MIL and NASA standards (as appropriate)
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis tools and CAD systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Lead the design and manufacture of liquid rocket engine components, subsystems, and systems
  • Support the design, development, and commissioning of new engine test facilities
  • Define test requirements and support test campaigns to develop and qualify liquid engine hardware
  • Perform trade studies on bi-propellant rocket engines with electric motor and turbine cycles for the upper stages of the orbital rocket
  • Support trouble shooting of hardware during manufacturing, integration and test campaigns
  • Create document packages for design reviews, post-test reviews and launch readiness milestones
  • Coordinate with the Assembly, Integration and Test department for production activities and identify supporting ground support equipment and special test hardware
  • Act as a mentor to and support the development of junior team members in conjunction with the Head of Propulsion
  • Overseas travel to meet external consultants when required
  • Other duties as requested by managemen
