Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Property Management, the successful applicant will oversee a varied commercial and residential portfolio. After an initial induction period, the Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of their own portfolio. At MC we do offer hybrid working, however for the initial training period, attendance at our office in Galway will be required for a minimum of 6 months to get to know the team and the wider portfolio. As experience will tell you this includes, but is not limited to:

  • Dealing with day-to-day general maintenance issues/complaints
  • Liaising with Management Company Directors / Committees on a regular basis
  • Implementing and enforcing House Rules at developments
  • Business Development and ambition to increase existing portfolio
  • Attending and preparation for Annual General Meetings
  • Conducting site inspections and maintaining quality control
  • Appointment and assessment of third-party contracts
  • Financial management and forecasting analysis
  • Budget control

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must hold a Property Services Regulatory Authority Category D license. A degree in Estate Management, Property Economics or equivalent is a benefit but not essential.
  • A full clean valid driver’s license and use of their own car.
  • A fundamental understanding of landlord/tenant relationships and property law in this jurisdiction is essential.
  • A working Knowledge of Property Management legislation such as the “MUD” act is essential.
  • A willingness to undertake further training.
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
