[What the role is] The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) is a new government agency established to oversee Singapore’s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response In this role, you will be leading the development and implementation of the public health informatics strategy, to enhance the ability of the CDA to monitor, respond to, and prevent communicable diseases. [What you will be working on] You will lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT systems and data interfaces crucial for communicable disease surveillance, operations, and response. Job responsibilities Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable system specifications, ensuring the systems align with public health goals. Collaborate with IT vendors and external partners to build and maintain IT systems, including data interfaces. Ensure that all systems and data flows provide accurate, timely, and reliable information to support operational and outbreak response decision-making. Lead efforts to optimise system performance and ensure that IT systems remain scalable, secure, and responsive to evolving public health needs. Envision solutions, opportunities and applications of new digital technologies to enhance communicable disease surveillance. [What we are looking for] Preferability tertiary qualifications in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields At least 5 years working experience in public health informatics or disease registry management preferred Prior experiences in agile development will be advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environment Highly adaptable to changing project priorities and demands Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams Experience in a leadership role will be advantageous http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
