JOB SUMMARY

If you are seeking an opportunity to grow in the field of Supply Chain, Emerson has an exciting role for you! This Senior / Purchasing Executive will be responsible for supervising purchase orders to stock activities and ensuring material availability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Degree/Diploma or related experience in Business Administration / Supply Chain or Logistics or any related field
Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Works closely with Intraco & external suppliers to drive Supply Chain Speed improvements through improved lead-times and quick turnarounds in delivery to support customer service objectives
  • Coordinates / completes PO timely, contracts, agreements and terms/conditions for Sites’ purchases.
  • Coordinates & supervise PO to Stock activities to ensure material availability at the right time.
  • Maintains purchasing parameter integrity in Sites business systems (Oracle).
  • Supports Commodity Managers in driving commodity plans
  • Strong ability to engage internal & external collaborators collaboratively to derive solutions for any projects/assignment tasked.
  • Conducts monthly review/engagement with Key Suppliers as well as internal partners for opportunities for improvements.
  • Partakes in internal factory key initiatives to drive continuous improvement

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Minimum 2 years’ meaningful experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of MRP (Oracle) and MS office software, ERP System, internet and customer supplied software.
  • Knowledge of Lean Techniques, ISO 9002 Quality system and Inventory Management will be an added advantage.
  • Have the negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers.
  • Ability to inspire change and sell new concepts and approaches through persistence, self-motivation, energy, tenacity, follow-through, and dedication
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact.
  • Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive team member relations.
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel between factories and work overtime due to project schedules.
