JOB DESCRIPTION

Premiere manufacturing and assembly company is seeking a qualified Senior Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of relevant experience working in a leadership position related to procurement. This position will require a highly energetic, fully engaged, forward thinking individual. The successful candidate will support the organization in all aspects the procurement phase. This is a salary position and compensation will be based on past experience. Due to contractual requirements with customers the candidate must be a US citizen.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of purchasing experience.
  • Degree in business or similar discipline (preferred)
  • Experience in logistics/supply chain management desired.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems
  • Understanding of the ISO 9001 quality system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially strong in Excel.
  • Flexible; must be able to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

Responsibilities
  • Manage overall procurement process and personnel.
  • Contact vendors to obtain quotations on various items and analyze for best value.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders to acquire materials, components, supplies, equipment and inventory consistent with standards of quality and production schedules.
  • Communicate with vendors to assure that all compliance documentation requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support internal and external customers, outside vendors and third-party contractors.
  • Track purchase orders and research as necessary.
  • Track vendor compliance documentation and assist with vendor audits.
  • Work with management team on overview and process improvement activities.
