We are looking for a confident and detail-driven QA Automation Engineer to join our Software team in Beaconsfield. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied technology landscape, supporting the development and delivery of intranet, web, desktop and mobile solutions used across financial services and the film, television and media industries.

The role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting agile software development by creating, maintaining and evolving automated test frameworks and test cases. You will work with a high level of autonomy, helping define test strategies, execute test plans and ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and usability.

What you will be doing:

· Creating, maintaining and developing robust automation frameworks.

· Designing automated testing architecture and expanding automated test coverage using Cypress or other agreed tools.

· Executing system, integration, regression, functional, interface, acceptance, performance, API and security testing.

· Using tools such as Jira, TestRail and Confluence to manage defects, test assets and documentation.

· Analysing business requirements and translating them into effective test strategies and plans.

· Exploring practical AI-driven testing approaches, including AI assisted test case generation, test data creation, result analysis and visual or regression checks.

· Working closely with developers and QA colleagues to troubleshoot issues, improve processes and support knowledge sharing across the team.

What we are looking for:

· At least 5 years’ experience in software testing, including 2 or more years focused on test automation.

· Strong experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks.

· Hands-on knowledge of end-to-end automation tools, ideally Cypress.

· Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

· Good understanding of performance testing, API testing, UX/UI testing, BDD and TDD approaches.

· Working knowledge of JSON, SQL and modern software testing practices.

· Experience working in an Agile environment.

· Comfort using AI tools to support testing activities, with the judgement to review and validate AI generated output.

· Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

It would be a bonus if you have:

· Experience testing or reconciling financial systems, reports, payroll or auto enrolment systems.

· Skills in Java, JavaScript or Python.

· Knowledge of automated API or endpoint testing, ideally REST-assured.

· Experience with microservice testing.

· A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
