Responsibilities-Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated tests in TypeScript, developed and maintained alongside the application code-Collaborate closely with developers throughout the feature lifecycle, including design, implementation, and defect resolution-Participate in defining test strategies at both feature and system levels-Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the automation testing framework-Make informed decisions on the appropriate use of mocks, stubs, or real integrations depending on testing goals-Ensure automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for execution in CI/CD pipelines-Participate in code reviews for test code and, when appropriate, application code-Provide fast, clear, and actionable feedback on quality and defects to the development team-Promote a built-in quality mindset and continuous improvement of testing practices across the team

Requirements-3–5+ years of experience in test automation within product or platform teams-Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript / JavaScript-Experience writing end-to-end tests alongside application code (near-code / monorepo approach)-Proven experience working in cross-functional teams with close collaboration with Backend, Frontend, and DevOps engineers-Practical experience with modern E2E testing frameworks (Playwright or equivalent)-Strong understanding of testing principles and strategies, including the test pyramid, shift-left approach, and contract testing-Experience with REST API testing, data validation, and system-level testing-Ability to design and implement mocks, stubs, and other test doubles to ensure stable and isolated tests-Solid understanding of object-oriented and/or functional programming concepts as applied to test code and frameworks-Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)-Familiarity with test observability and reporting tools (e.g., Allure, TestOps, CI-based reporting)-Strong communication skills with the ability to actively participate in technical discussions and challenge requirements constructively-English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher, both written and spoken

Nice to Have-Experience writing and maintaining integration tests (service-to-service, contract-based testing)-Experience contributing to the design and evolution of test automation frameworks-Practical knowledge of Docker and test environment configuration-Experience testing GraphQL APIs-Experience with distributed systems or high-load platforms-Experience in non-functional testing, including performance, reliability, and resilience testing

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback
• Design, write, and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)
• Perform various types of testing: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing
• Collaborate with developers to understand product requirements
• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced
• Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test data
• Document test results and prepare clear, concise test reports

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software QA/testing
• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software/Testing Life Cycle)
• Hands-on Experience on Mobile App Testing (Android/IOS)
• Hands-on Experience on Web Application Testing
• Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
• Basic Knowledge of Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Testing
• Basic exposure to AI-powered testing tools like Testim, Applitools, or mabl for visual/UI regression testing
• Basic understanding of bug life cycle and defect management
• Experience with at least one bug-tracking/test management tool (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• ISTBQ Certification – Foundation Level (CTFL)
• Basic SQL knowledge for backend/data validation
• Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
• Exposure to version control systems (Git)
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
• Basic understanding of performance testing concepts

Pay: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
