JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Enterprise Product Development Team, a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with the Product Team to understand requirements and prepare test plans. They execute these test plans, execute regression test plans, and demonstrate the feature upon delivery.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in the use of development methodologies; e.g., Agile, Scrum
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a multitasking environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, specifically documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail, quality conscious, yet open, flexible to others’ ideas and suggestions

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in computer science, engineering, developer, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of experience writing and implementing automation code
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong testing methodology
  • Test planning and test case build out experience
  • Prior experience using test plan management tools; e.g., Jira, HipTest
  • Preferred experience working with automated build systems and automated testing platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Prior experience in benefit program administration; knowledge of Health and Welfare processes a plus

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test cases and write test plans for large scale systems
  • Perform analysis determining valid issues and suggest solutions
  • Demonstrate test plan execution for stake holders
  • Participate in the development lifecycle and scrum process
  • Record and track defects through Web-based tools
  • Report regular status of testing
  • Work with the operations team to investigate issues and quickly turn around point releases if required
  • Perform regular release full regression testing
