About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our team. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with the development team to identify test requirements, create test plans, develop automated test scripts, and execute test cases. Your primary goal will be to ensure the seamless operation and robustness of our software products. Responsibilities Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and identify test scenarios for automation. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Execute automated test cases and analyze the test results to identify defects or inconsistencies. Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and provide suggestions for improvements. Participate in the review and refinement of software requirements to ensure testability. Continuously enhance and improve automated testing processes and techniques. Contribute to the identification and implementation of test automation best practices and tools. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to QA automation. Qualifications and Skills: Assist in the creation and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies for new and existing software. Execute test plans with a keen eye to identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues in our product Work directly with development teams to investigate and resolve issues. Create, manage and execute manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets the requirements and expectations of our customers Maintain a very high bar for quality with the ability and confidence to hold releases that don’t meet the standard. Maintain a “big picture’ customer perspective to strongly represent the customer’s goals and their experience using our product. Meet sprint goals, ensuring quality releases are delivered Support product releases through initial testing through the various stages of a release cycle. Write clear and concise documentation including test strategies, plans, test cases, reproduction steps, results and reports. Stay current with new tools and methodologies and stay current with best practices in quality Sounds like you? To apply you need to be: Experience & Education 5+ years of QA experience, with a strong understanding of QA best practices. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright Familiarity with API testing using a tool like Postman. Experience working with modern web applications, and are familiar with technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, ADO, GitHub Experience with programming languages, such as Javascript or Python Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
