Description

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to elevate the quality, reliability and maintainability of our SaaS ecosystem of NodeJS Microservices and React Web Applications. You’ll work on test strategies, guidelines and implementations, and the monitoring thereof. For this you’ll contribute your own ideas, process changes and new frameworks to ensure continuous quality improvements to the code base and hence act as a quality guardian across multiple projects and domains. As a QA engineer, you’ll also regularly pair up with others, perform code reviews, identify dark spots, plan out tasks and projects, estimate workloads and provide guidance.
You’ll be working closely with Engineering Leadership, Product Managers and Engineers of all disciplines to elevate quality and reliability of our applications.
To excel as a Senior QA Engineer at Factor-Eleven, you should be an excellent communicator and mediator, have expert knowledge of Typescript, NodeJS based services and React applications, as well as common testing frameworks and their best practices, a solid understanding of CI/CD processes and SAST/DAST tooling and an everlasting urge to raise the quality bar. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on elevating engineering standards, and driving a forward-thinking, AI-first approach across the organization.
Any experience with Cypress, Playwright, Jest, SonarQube, DataDog and GraphQL is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliability of our high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
  • Optimize and expand the existing test suites and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with product people on the test strategy and automation for continuous acceptance criteria validation
  • Work closely with engineers to write efficient and maintainable e2e, integration and unit tests
  • Perform code reviews with a focus on test coverage, quality and efficiency
  • Identify dark spots and create/adjust test strategies to close them
  • Supervise SAST/DAST tooling and set up strict but reasonable rules to ensure quality alignment between projects
  • Have a great sense for code quality, continuously raising our quality bar.
