This full-time and permanent position is based in Poland, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Operations Technology - Fund Services department and its’ growth.   Purpose of Role Ensure the end-to-end quality, reliability, and performance of the STAR application by delivering comprehensive automated and manual testing across UI, API, data, and integration layers. This role drives continuous improvement of QA processes, strengthens automation maturity, and ensures alignment with business. The QA Engineer plays a critical role in reducing risk, enhancing system accuracy, and ensuring that STAR enables efficient, compliant, and scalable business operations.   Key responsibilities: Testing & Validation Perform comprehensive functional, UI, API, integration, and regression testing across STAR application modules. Validate data integrity, workflow accuracy, and end-to-end system behaviour for new features and BAU enhancements. Conduct cross-system validation for upstream/downstream dependencies and ensure alignment with business rules. Evaluate system performance, reliability, and edge-case handling during release cycles.   Defect Management Log, track, analyse, and verify defects using JIRA or equivalent tools with clear documentation and root-cause insights. Partner with developers, BAs, and product owners to triage issues and drive timely resolution. Participate in defect reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of code quality and release stability.   Process Compliance & Quality Governance Adhere to and help refine centralized QA standards, frameworks, and testing methodologies. Create, maintain, and version-control test cases, test scripts, and test data for audit readiness. Ensure all prerequisites for QA execution—environment readiness, access configuration, test data preparation—are met. Contribute to risk-based testing approaches and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational controls relevant to Investment Management. Automation, Tooling & Performance Lead automation initiatives to expand regression coverage and improve testing efficiency across UI, API, and data layers. Develop and maintain automated test suites using established frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Support performance and load testing strategies to evaluate system scalability and reliability. Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern QA tools, automation best practices, and advanced testing techniques.   Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Product Leads, Technology teams, Data teams, and Operations to ensure QA efforts align with business priorities and release timelines. Participate in agile ceremonies, planning sessions, and release readiness activities. Communicate quality risks, test results, and environment constraints to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Foster a quality-first mindset across cross-functional teams and advocate for improvements that reduce operational risk. . Key requirements: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of QA Engineering experience within the Investment Management or Financial Services domain.   Required Skills Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and agile delivery practices. Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA). Proficiency in Selenium or similar automation frameworks, and familiarity with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber). Experience building automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines. Solid experience with API testing and SQL-based data validation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.   Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Familiarity with financial systems such as Paxus, Yardi, Solvas, or Investran.
