EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years and above in a Quality function role from Optics manufacturing, preferably with experience in germanium and chalcogenide material.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in English and Chinese language to communicate with customers and teams from Asia, Europe, and USA
• Sound knowledge and application of Quality tools, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experienced in Optical measurement equipment.
• Some travelling to China and Malaysia production sites / suppliers / customers are required.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Working closely with the Head of Department, the successful candidate will collaborate with WEO manufacturing sites to ensure the smooth implementation of the corporate quality strategy and the effective execution of tactical action plans.
The individual shall lead the QA/QC activities, monitor QA performance metrics and ensure timely and effective counter measures are implemented to address negative trends.
Candidates with high aptitude will be fast tracked for the position and responsibilities of Principal Engineer / Assistant Manager.
