ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Quality Advisor to join our fast-paced team working on the North East Link project. As Senior Quality Advisor, you will provide onsite technical support to manage quality requirements in accordance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Monitor the progress of construction quality and verification processes in accordance with the contract documents and the QMP.
  • Support Quality team with the preparation and/or review of Activity Method Statements (AMS), work process documentation (including construction procedures, ITPs and checklists) in accordance with the QMP.
  • Evaluate and inspect suppliers/subcontractors’ quality systems, processes and products.
  • Monitor and review subcontractors’ quality deliverables to ensure they fulfil their quality obligations.
  • Monitor construction work lots progress and coordinate inspection of works/products with the Quality team.
  • Support the Quality team and Construction Engineers with audits/inspections reports in accordance with the audit/inspections schedule and identify, report and investigate the cause of on/off site non-conforming work.
  • Review proposed corrective and preventative actions to address non-conformance and audit findings and provide technical guidance on best for product requirements.
  • Engage with asset owners as required to obtain approval on non-conforming works and re-inspections to confirm compliance and corrective actions are effective.
  • Support the Quality and Construction teams with the review of compliance records enabling close out of construction work lots
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the project quality management system, processes and product
  • Assist the Completions Manager with implementing the Completion and Handover strategy to achieve the Project Area Practical Completion target dates, where required.
  • Support the Quality and Completion Managers to compile data and information for the weekly/monthly quality performance reports and participate in meetings to discuss quality performance and resolve quality issues
  • Work with the site quality team and where requested the project quality team to assist with gettinAg project approved materials, associated QA documents and QA lots closed out prior to delivery of product.
  • Prepare and consolidate quality data

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management, Quality Management or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a Senior Quality role on a medium to large scale project
  • Experience in the rail or infrastructure sector is preferable
  • Experience in Inspection test report Verification in CCMS (Hexagon) is preferable
  • Experience in managing a team and proven time management, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a sound analytical/methodical approach to Quality
  • Familiar with AS code and Standards AS 2067, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS3001, AS/NSZ 3008 (electrical)
