Job title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: £47,683 + depending on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • HNC / HND (or equivalent relevant experience) ideally in Quality or an Engineering related discipline
  • Good understanding and implementation of Quality practices, tools and techniques
  • The knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. EN9100, defence regulations and standards)
  • Strong IT literacy, especially with Microsoft applications

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience of our Customer Operations and any of the Aircraft platforms we support
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance to company, contractual and statutory/regulatory quality requirements is maintained throughout the full development lifecycle
  • Operating as the Quality Assurance focal point for Engineering capability teams working within the Design, Development, Test and Evaluation Service Delivery Unit throughout the engineering lifecycle
  • Undertaking First Article Verifications and signing Certificates of Conformity on behalf of the business and supporting customer release activities as required across the varied teams
  • Effectively conducting the timely investigation and resolution of all reported quality issues and Customer quality concerns associated within the Engineering Capability organisation
  • Ensuring quality is effectively supported and reviewed and quality concerns are reported via the specific management review hierarchies
  • Supporting the utilisation of business information to identify and proactively drive Quality and business led improvement activities focussed towards improving the quality of our products and services
  • Conducting as required to schedule, all internal system / process / product / audits and provision of support to third party certification audits and the timely resolution of all identified non-conformances
