The organization has the stability of an established product but still feels like a scale-up: a small team, short lines and an open door to the director. The developers build with AI agents (Claude Code), so development has sped up a lot. With 13 developers and 2 manual testers, QA is now the bottleneck.
The roleYou'll be the first QA Engineer in the Netherlands, working with 2 QA colleagues in Portugal.- Turn manual testing into automated, AI-driven testing- Grow the existing Playwright setup into full CI/CD- Choose the tools and the strategy, then put them into practice- Coach your colleagues instead of managing them
Stack: PHP, Docker, Playwright, Claude Code
What you bring- 5+ years in QA or test automation- Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Robot Framework or similar- You take initiative and bring others along- 3 days a week at the office in the Eindhoven region (Belgium is fine too)- Work is in English. Basic Dutch is a plus
What you get- €4,800 - €6,000 gross per month- 28 vacation days and a good pension scheme- Full ownership of QA- Work trips to Portugal- 2 interviews, no assessments
