• Develop, revise and approve internal quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures, in line with business needs
• Review requirement specifications for coverage, identify areas that require further clarification, and suggest alternative approaches
• Write test cases in line with a specification to test a piece of functionality and check ambiguities in tests with Development Lead
• Enter defects into the bug tracking system by recording the steps that were taken to exercise the functionality and the technical problem that occurred, so that tests can be easily replicated and results can be analysed by the development team
• Produce reports, monitor outcomes of tests and assess impact on functionality and project time lines
