Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. The project: This is an opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art landmark project in Rwanda. Mace have been delivering PMC services on major aviation projects for several years, increasing passenger capacity and improving overall services You’ll be responsible for: Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and client/employer requirements. Establish inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statement review procedures, and material approval processes across all work packages. Lead internal and third-party quality audits; manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), disposition, and close-out. Review and approve contractor and sub-contractor Quality Plans prior to commencement of works. Manage the document control system, ensuring version control and audit trails for all quality-critical documents. Provide quality input to design reviews and constructability assessments; coordinate with the design team on design assurance processes. Produce monthly quality performance reports for inclusion in the Project Board report. Manage the handover documentation process, including as-built records, test certificates, and O&M manuals. Interface with the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) and other statutory bodies on quality certification requirements. Drive lessons learned capture and disseminatio across the quality function. You’ll need to have: Minimum 15 years' experience in quality management on major capital projects, with demonstrable experience in aviation infrastructure or comparable complex programmes. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification essential; Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) or equivalent preferred. Deep understanding of construction quality assurance processes across civil, structural, MEP, and fit-out disciplines. Experience working in East Africa or Sub-Saharan Africa markets strongly preferred. Highly organised with strong analytical skills; proficient in quality management software and digital reporting tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
