Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be the driving force behind our site’s food safety and quality systems. You will lead our QA function, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide the business through technical excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, championing best practices and fostering a strong food safety culture from sea to shelf.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Quality Assurance department, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance food safety and quality systems in alignment with Irish and EU regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits, manage CAPA processes, and drive audit readiness.
  • Provide technical leadership during customer and third-party audits.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Innovation teams to maintain high supplier and product standards.
  • Monitor compliance with certifications such as IFS and Organic Standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality and safety across the organisation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to QA systems, procedures, and team performance.
  • Stay informed on food industry trends and regulatory developments, providing insights and recommendations.
