Job Title: Senior Quality Control Inspector – Welding Inspection Location: Scotstoun - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Up to £48,000 (dependent on experience) What you’ll be doing: Supporting a team of quality professionals, tasked at driving and delivering quality control and improvement deliverables across naval ships business Supporting quality engagement through presence at relevant forums ensuring accurate reporting of assurance events and mitigation of all potential quality issues and recurrence Responsible for verification of cross trade inspections and acceptance activities across Programmes ensuring specifications and standards are applied. Developing and maintaining processes and procedures applicable to Quality Control role Providing professional support, advice and guidance for all Quality aspects throughout the Programme including improvement initiatives Your skills and experiences: Core trade qualification and time served in relevant discipline Preferred: Weld Inspection and NDT Technique certifications e.g. PCN Level 2 and CSWIP. The Quality Team: As a Quality Control Senior Inspector joining our experienced T26 program you will become a member of an extremely dynamic Quality team of circa 55 heads that cover every inspection across multiple disciplines, undertaking various inspections across multiple components as to deliver the most technically advanced platform to our customers. These customers are growing from originally UK MOD, Royal Navy and then on to international contracts. You will influence both strategic and technical conversations within your given discipline and represent the department in some cases. Tasks will vary between conducting inspections and supporting the wider team, predominantly leads as and when required. This position will require the candidate to be very alert to challenges faced within his discipline and have the ability to manage and influence solutions. As a senior you will be required to also conduct task management as to ensure efficiency is maximized across all aspects of the tasks undertaken.
