OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position requires a deep understanding of quality assurance processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Quality Engineer will lead initiatives to enhance product quality, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to industry standards.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Software Engineering Experience to understand the lifecycles and code (must be able to do some C# code). i.e. QA Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer or Developer, leveraging software QA tools and processes
  • SQL, C#, Cypress, Splunk
  • different testing techniques such as test planning, UI testing, automated testing, analytic testing, or test-driven development strategies.
  • a self-starter and a quick learner (our business context is hard to understand)
  • a good executer and good communicator
    To quickly understand the business context and promptly begin writing and executing test plans. Follow test plan, execute it, and lead testing, understand the requirement, write test plans, could work with multiple testers. Leading is a key word, we’d like to see them be a good executor and ideally they can grow into leading after they learn the business/team.
    Required to be onsite two days (Wednesdays and Thursdays) a week at the Arlington, VA office.

SUMMARY

We are looking for an innovative software quality engineer who can play a role in helping us scale our platform development and tackle the big challenges of the future. This individual will ensure quality in all phases of feature development for analytic and front-end code that is foundational to BE&O, while staying closely connected to our customers and the business value we provide.
Software quality engineers work in small, flexible teams with software development engineers. Every team member contributes to designing and testing features. There are no rigid organizational structures, and each team uses processes that work the best for that team members and projects.
Position Responsibilities:
As a part of Services, you will ensure quality for revolutionary products that advance how businesses all over the world seize the most value from their data. As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will:
Ensure that calculations are correct in all circumstances
Lead testing of large, complex, high-quality features with minimal oversight
Manage and coordinate large testing and release efforts with internal stakeholders
Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing processes
Ensure an intuitive user experience which can drive value for users of any mathematical or business background
Prioritize feature testing work for your team
Innovate and continually learn and work with new technologies
Invest in personal growth and take on team responsibilities
Own release management for your team

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer or Developer, leveraging software QA tools and processes
4+ years of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as test planning, UI testing, automated testing, analytic testing, or test-driven development strategies.
4+ years of experience with C#, React/Redux, Selenium, Cypress, SQL Server, Git, Jenkins, and/or Splunk
Experience in designing and implementing automated testing infrastructures
Understanding of algorithms and data structures
Passion for analytical / quantitative problem solving
You gravitate towards understanding the ins and outs of the tools you work with vs. just using them for the task at hand
Flexibility to learn and work in different parts of the stack
Highly motivated professional with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
