Description
Oversight of the compliance, continual improvement, and enforcement of the Jackson plant's AS9100, FAA, and Nadcap special process certifications including hosting audits (Internal, Customer, and 3rd Party). Oversight of distributor hose shop audits and follow up of corrective actions. Reviews customer/industry/internal specifications to ensure compliance with stated requirements. Functionally responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and deploying work instructions/procedures and associated process controls for the HPWT or assigned area. Trains and develops employees on subjects relating to customer requirements and quality procedures as appropriate. Develops process improvements and cost control programs in their assigned area. Provides technical support to operations, customers, and suppliers. Leads formal problem solving for internal and external customers. Bachelor's degree from accredited institution. Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the Jackson, MI facility will be considered Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements Knowledge of assembly operations, gauging, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100). Experience in performing Quality Audits and/or certification is preferred. Useable skills with MS Office software are preferred. Experience with Nadcap Special Processes preferred. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (MOQ/OE) is preferred.
