Description
About the role We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join us in Chandigarh. As part of our engineering organisation, this role will help strengthen the quality, reliability and performance of the systems that support our products and clients across the securities finance lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on automation engineering with performance analysis and continuous improvement. You will help shift quality and reliability earlier into the development lifecycle, improve feedback loops in delivery pipelines and contribute to systems that are built to scale. This role suits someone who can work independently, contribute strong technical judgement and collaborate effectively across teams while continuing to deepen their expertise. What you'll do Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks covering functional, regression and performance testing. Expand automated coverage for critical user journeys to improve confidence in releases. Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation. Improve the reliability, repeatability and speed of test execution so development teams receive fast and actionable feedback. Design and execute performance, load, stress and scalability tests across different environments and workloads. Analyse system behaviour under load and identify bottlenecks related to latency, throughput, concurrency and resource usage. Produce clear findings and practical recommendations from performance test results, helping teams prioritise fixes and improvements. Support repeated validation cycles to confirm optimisations and prevent performance regressions. Partner with engineering, DevOps and reliability-focused teams to embed quality and resilience into the software development lifecycle. Contribute to reliability initiatives by supporting service-level thinking, production readiness and data-driven improvement efforts. Participate in incident reviews, root cause analysis and postmortems, helping translate findings into stronger test coverage and preventative controls. Create and maintain dashboards, alerts and supporting metrics that improve visibility into system performance and reliability. Share knowledge with colleagues through documentation, walkthroughs or team sessions on automation, performance and quality practices. What we’re looking for 3+ years of relevant commercial experience in QA automation engineering or software quality engineering. Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks in a commercial environment. Good understanding of functional, regression and non-functional testing principles. Practical experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright or similar automation technologies. Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling or K6. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working within modern delivery practices. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and investigate root causes effectively. Familiarity with monitoring and observability concepts, including dashboards, alerts and production health indicators. Understanding of SRE-related concepts such as service reliability, incident response, postmortems and service level objectives. Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with close collaboration across engineering teams. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with developers, platform engineers and other technical stakeholders. A structured and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
