QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Background in computer science, software engineering or software testing.
  • 5+ years of experience working in software testing or QA roles, including both front end and back-end systems.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and CI/CD principles.
  • Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and scrum-based testing workflows.
  • A strong attention to detail, determination to drive quality outcomes, and excellent organisational skills.
  • Additionally experience in the following areas will be beneficial
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools
  • Basic programming and/or scripting skills
  • Database and SQL knowledge
  • An understanding of web technologies
  • Optional: Familiarity with AI design & testing techniques including Evals, LLMOps and MLOps.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing testing strategies to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise critical software systems.
  • Designing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts for back-end systems, APIs, and user interfaces that support advanced decision-making tools for control, scheduling, and reliability teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement in quality assurance processes, incorporating automated testing & best practices in CI/CD pipelines and supporting integration of MLOps workflows.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product owners, to proactively identify and resolve defects.
  • Establishing and maintaining high standards of software quality and test coverage by following industry best practices.
  • Leading defect triage meetings to prioritize and manage issues, ensuring efficient resolutions.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives), ensuring disciplined tracking of test progress and documentation.
