Description
Develop, execute, and maintain manufacturing processes Achieve quality system objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews Prepare and complete action plans Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards Develop quality assurance plans as part of the business development process by conducting hazard analyses Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes Determine operational and performance qualifications Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management Provide expertise in the development of product test, laboratory equipment, or processes to meet the growth opportunities where alternate testing or evaluation might be required for a customer product Lead teams to drive transformational change and improvement Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Other duties as assigned Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or STEM discipline required Experience: 8+ years in a manufacturing environment, knowledgeable of process control, quality measurement systems, lean manufacturing and experience and understanding of how a quality management system supports the organization Comprehensive knowledge of state-of-the-art instruments, equipment, theories and principles of general manufacturing business operations, with an emphasis on process control (Prevention vs detection) Experience in statistical process control, GD&T, VSM, TPM, the design process as well as process optimization and continuous improvement including experience with Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing Effectively work with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems; use standard business software and graphics applications Able to work complex technical problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to solve a wide range of problems and instituting creative and effective ways to coordinate across multiple functions Able to achieve results individually, without significant supervision, and as a member of a team Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills Security: Must be a US citizen Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements while using a computer or measuring tools Have the dexterity to see fine print and use hand and precision measuring tools Adhering to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.) Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources
