We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Vancouver, Washington facility. This role is on-site and suited for an experienced professional with a strong background in the automotive industry and a proven track record in quality systems, process improvement, and cross-functional leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of quality engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, problem-solving techniques).
  • Proven track record with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on experience with quality inspection equipment, data analysis, and statistical tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Vancouver, Washington (this is an in-person position).

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in EV battery systems, flexible printed circuits, or advanced electronics manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
  • Supplier quality management experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing documentation systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead quality engineering activities for automotive and EV-related products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal specifications.
  • Drive implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Develop and maintain control plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, and other APQP documentation.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
  • Manage customer quality concerns, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (8D methodology).
  • Serve as a primary quality liaison with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor quality technicians and junior engineers.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in supplier audits to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams on new product introduction (NPI) and change control processes.
