SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Honour’s Degree qualified (Level 8) in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of Quality un a manufacturing, and or engineering related industry
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management systems, ISO standards and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in Data trending and analysis.
  • Experience in lean processes (Six Sigma Ideal)
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
Responsibilities

The role of the Senior Quality Engineer (SQE) is to drive quality improvements in Prodieco, and ensure systems; processes and standards are set and maintained to meet the goals of the business.
The Senior Quality Engineer will report to the quality manager

Key Duties/Responsibilities of a Senior Quality Engineer:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with relevant standards like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Conduct internal, external, and supplier audits, to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead investigations of non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop and implement new procedures, and monitor the effectiveness of quality control measures.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret quality data to identify trends, track performance, and generate reports for management.
  • Review, approve, and release quality documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports.
  • Support supplier validation, auditing, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Train personnel on quality procedures and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Work with and support other departments within Prodieco to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Act as point of contact for the Quality Manager.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Participate in company wide projects.
