The Senior Quality Inspector uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the inspection discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the inspection discipline. The Senior Quality Inspector solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Quality Inspector impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the inspection team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

• Relevant education in E&I.
• The candidate must be fluent in German and English
• Previous construction experience in Germany
• Previous exposure to high voltage electrical installation
• Exposure to Hazardous Area installations
• Instrument calibrations experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role
• A working knowledge of EN/DIN standards relating to electrical and instrumentation work
• Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to electrical and instrumentation work
• Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package. Familiar with other computer packages (eg. MS Project, Outlook, etc)
• Hazardous Area installation and inspection experience is an advantage

• Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site
• Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary
• Checks cable laying and cable identification
• Performs all relevant loop checks
• Updates as built drawings
• Performs punch-listing operations
• Participate the site ITP inspections related to the E&I Systems and devices
• Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection
• Participate and evaluate all tests of continuity, insulation resistance and so on listed in ITPs
• Participate and evaluate all installation of instruments site checks
• Participate and evaluate functional instruments performs tests
• Participate and evaluate all pneumatic signal connection checks
• Participate and evaluate fiber optic cable checks
• Participate and evaluate performing of all communication functionalities test
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications
• Witness the tests, controls and inspections carried out according to IT Plans
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan keep
• Regularly complete the necessary QC documentation related to inspections and tests
