Description • Supervise and support the activities of the Oven Technicians on a 4-shift operation. • Determine training needs and oversee/evaluate development of quality staff in their assigned areas of responsibility. • Maintain adequate staffing and monitor performance. • Maintain and update all in-process inspection records. • Assist in interpreting dimensional specifications. • Perform Production Part Approvals (PPAP) for customers as requested • Assist in corrective and preventative action activities (8D’s, one-pagers). • Collect and review forms from various areas of the production facility. • Coordinate periodic tooling audit for all measurement equipment in the plant. • Maintain laboratory equipment and work procedures to ensure speedy and accurate testing. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. • Possess good problem solving and organizational skills. • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain records, and the ability to work with interruptions. • Ability to create, review and evaluate operating procedures and recommend improvements. • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of the English language in oral and written forms. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff. • Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and friendly attitude that projects a positive image of the department and organization. • Willing to learn new duties and job function-related skills as required. • Self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks. • Familiarity with root cause investigation tools • Must be available for nights and weekends with occasional overtime.
