Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Systems Specialist to join our team located in Colorado Springs, CO.
This role will provide end-to-end quality life-cycle support for hardware, software, and systems integration across site Ground Systems programs.
This position is 100% on-site and may require 10% travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study
  • 3+ years of experience performing statistical analysis
  • 3+ years of experience working with data visualization
  • 3+ years of experience with process or value stream mapping
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ year experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry
  • 1+ year experience working on an Agile Development or JIRA environment program
  • Experience working on multiple projects

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Reviews contract SOW, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development, plans and tracking systems.
  • Assess Engineering work products (Peer Reviews, Mission Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Code Reviews, Product Readiness)
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results to leadership, customers and stakeholders.
  • Performs follow-up on audit and assessment findings.
  • Monitors quality, delivery, work in process, systemic issues and program impacts to determine needed corrective actions and improvements performance.
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements and documents findings.
  • Interface with Customer representatives, onsite in Colorado and offsite at various suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross functionally between program management, engineering, development, integration and test team
  • Support issue resolution, metrics and develop common checklists
  • Perform benchmarking of Enterprise and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
  • This position may require approximately 10% travel if called upon to support on-site project activities.
