Description

In the role of Senior Quality Technician, you will be responsible for supporting and implementing quality processes and standards within Advantech’s manufacturing environment. The role involves inspecting products and materials, conducting tests, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring that products meet both regulatory and customer expectations.

In this role, you will play a part in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance are met at every stage of production. You will leverage your expertise to uphold our commitment to delivering excellent quality. You will:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials, components, and products according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct tests and assessments to ensure products meet defined specifications, documenting findings and reporting deviations.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products, using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to update and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, conducting data analysis to identify trends and drive preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.), and Advantech policies.

You are a dedicated quality professional with a proven track record in manufacturing environments. Your analytical mindset and collaborative nature make you a key contributor to driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Furthermore, you have:

  • Diploma or associate degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Quality technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes, tools, and methodologies, with good knowledge in ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001 and ISO 13485).
  • Proficiency in quality inspection equipment and software; knowledge of SPC and Minitab is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for details.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
