Job Summary Quality Assurance (QA) is a critical part of Cornell Dubilier’s success. Quality Assurance technicians shall ensure the continued success through monitoring of the materials and processes used to manufacture customer products. Quality Assurance specialists play a key role in Cornell Dubilier's ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.   Responsibilities/daily tasks Perform compliance/conformance testing on materials, product in process and finished goods. Perform verification inspections on incoming, in-process and outgoing materials and products. Set-up and operate test equipment Must be competent with measurement equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, custom gages, visual comparators, LCR meters, multimeters, thread measurement devices, durometers, Keyence systems, XRF systems, IC measurement, etc.   Record test results and prepare reports (Reports include - First Article Inspections (FAI) - AS9102 compliant, Material Review Board (MRB) requests, Ion Chromatography (IC) test results Prepare laboratory test submissions, Interpret test results for compliance to acceptance requirements Perform IC cleanliness testing on materials and products Complete C of C / C of A reports for finished products Identify, match and interpret external provider documentation (such as C of C, C of A and provided test data) Disposition non-complying materials and parts and prepare reports (communicate with supply chain personnel) Process and disposition RMAs   Create FAI reports including AS9102 compliant reports   QMS system audits (internal audits - per AS9100) - May require external education Maintain a orderly work area Create internal process measuring reports using excel.   Qualifications To be a competent Quality Assurance specialist, the candidate shall: - have a strong work ethic, be dependable, honest, responsible, adaptable and be a team player; * Have experience with customer interaction and be comfortable communicating with the customer. * Be able to demonstrate continuous improvement actions taken to improve customer satisfaction * Be able to interact with cross functional teams at all levels. * Document control skills - Have basic knowledge of the AS9102 First Article inspection process - Have a basic understanding of how to interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions; - Have basic math skills (interpretation of symbols such as micro(μ), milli(m), ohm(Ω), volts(V), current(A), etc.. - Be meticulous in their work, skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques, and knowledgeable about measurement and test equipment (MT&E). Attention to detail and an aptitude for working with data are critical. A solid grasp of the sciences, and basic engineering concepts is required. - Work as part of the Quality team so interpersonal and communications skills are crucial. Must be observant, technical, thorough, dependable, amicable and professional.   The following skills are critical to position success: Math skills - Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are critical parts of quality assurance testing. Mechanical skills - shall be able to use specialized tools and gauges when testing and measuring materials and products (CMM experience) Technical skills - must understand drawings, material specifications, technical documents, manuals, etc. to ensure materials and products meet quality requirements. Communication and Listening skills - shall have the ability to clearly communicate both internally and to external providers the results of inspection results. Microsoft Office proficiency is critical: (Excel, Word, Power-point, Visio, etc.   Other: Continuing Education - may be required to achieve continuing education for QMS compliance Dexterity - shall be able to quickly remove sample parts or products, perform inspections and disposition parts and/or products. Physical stamina & strength - Quality technicians shall have full body movement and have the ability to lift materials and products (< 50 lbs) Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.   Relation of the position to others in the company Quality Assurance specialists shall be adaptable to work with all positions within the facility. This will include working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Shipping, Receiving, R & D and other identified interested parties to achieve success.   Ethics and Professional Conduct Requirements   1. Responsibilities
The Senior Quality Technician is responsible for performing compliance and conformance testing on materials and finished goods while maintaining accurate quality reports. They must also manage non-conforming materials, conduct internal audits, and ensure all processes meet regulatory and customer requirements.
