As a Senior Quantitative Trader, you’ll play a pivotal role in researching, developing, and supporting systematic trading strategies, leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques. You’ll work at the intersection of quant research, data science, and trading strategy development, helping to drive alpha generation and improve trading performance. You’ll: Research and identify alpha opportunities using statistical analysis, machine learning, and large-scale data sets. Develop and enhance systematic trading and hedging strategies based on client behaviour, sentiment, segmentation, or market dynamics. Apply quantitative techniques to optimise risk, performance, and execution efficiency. Work closely with trading, product, and technology teams to translate research into deployable strategies. Analyse historical and real-time data to evaluate strategy robustness and performance. Continuously refine models and methodologies based on market conditions and data insights. Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s quantitative and data-driven trading capabilities. What We’re Looking For Strong experience applying statistical analysis and machine learning to large, complex datasets. Proven ability to research and identify alpha signals, whether from market data, client behaviour, sentiment, segmentation, or similar sources. Experience working with financial or trading-related data, such as markets, client flows, risk, credit, fraud, or customer analytics. The capability to support or develop systematic trading and hedging strategies, including performance optimisation and risk considerations Senior-level judgement, with the ability to operate autonomously, prioritise effectively, and make sound technical decisions. Strong proficiency in Python for quantitative research and data science workflows. Experience with kdb+ / KDB is a strong advantage. Axi's bag of delights Competitive and attractive compensation.
