We’re growing our Commercial Team and are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us during an exciting period of expansion. This is a hybrid role based out of our Warrington office, with flexibility to work from home and visit project sites across the Northwest.
You’ll play a key commercial role on our United Utilities account, supporting a range of water and wastewater projects that are vital to local communities. It’s a great opportunity to work with a leading client while helping deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions.

What will your day look like…

• Ensure contract compliance with Avove’s systems, processes, and procedures.
• Manage financial monitoring and reporting for assigned contracts.
• Support the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts with clients.
• Administer contract variations and manage commercial records for claims, EOTs, and valuations.
• Oversee subcontractor appointments and ongoing management.
• Submit timely applications and invoices to clients.
• Support business development with PQQs and tender submissions.
• Mentor and develop junior commercial team members.
• Lead on staff performance, development, and resource planning within your team.

About you …

• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts (target cost, fixed price, and cost reimbursable).
• A background in both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects (ideally water/utilities).
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage contract frameworks.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• A full UK driving licence (site visits required across the region).
