An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading engineering contractor with a secured portfolio of high-voltage (HV) projects across the UK & Europe. Role Overview
As Senior QS, you will take ownership of the commercial delivery of high-voltage projects, ensuring cost-effective execution while supporting project teams. You’ll manage contract administration, valuations, procurement, and client negotiations, playing a central role in the success of these large-scale engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on cost control, valuations, contract administration, and reporting
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts
• Oversee procurement and supplier negotiations to secure best value outcomes
• Assess risks, implement mitigation strategies, and provide commercial advice
• Act as the key commercial contact with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior QS staff, driving best practice across the team

About You

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience as a QS on projects over £7M in electrical or infrastructure scope
• Strong knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts and their application
• Proven background in HV, substations, cabling, or power transmission projects
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
