Description

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR - MAJOR HIGHWAYS STRUCTURES

Location: Manchester
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Car/Allowance & Full Package
We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing main contractor who specialise in complex building structures across both the infrastructure and building sectors. With a newly secured 2-year contract to deliver multiple structures as part of a major highways project in the North West, they are now seeking a talented Senior QS to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a site-based role, lead a small commercial team, and play a key part in the continued growth of the business in the region.
As Senior QS, you’ll be the commercial lead for my clients team, managing day-to-day commercial activity while mentoring a small commercial team. You’ll work closely with the project leadership team to deliver efective cost control, contract management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial management of a package of structures on a major highways project
  • Oversee change control, valuations, cost forecasting, and final accounts
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements
  • Provide regular financial reports to the commercial manager and project lead
  • Develop and mentor junior commercial team members
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives, supply chain, and internal teams
