Job Description:

  • Oversee the submission of Main Contract progress claims, variation claims, and EOT claims
  • Lead the preparation and negotiation of subcontract agreements and final accounts
  • Resolve contractual disputes with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for construction projects
  • Prepare detailed cost comparisons and procurement recommendations for review by senior management
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets
  • Lead the preparation and submission of variation orders, claims, and EOT requests
  • Ensure all claims are supported by accurate documentation and comply with contract terms
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow projections
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, claims, and procurement activities
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients on contractual and financial matters
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations, contract forms, and company policies
  • Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with an A1 main contractor in Singapore
  • Advanced knowledge of construction estimating methods, cost control principles, and procurement processes
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to lead teams under tight deadlines
