ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for someone who can work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and key project stakeholders managing all commercial concepts, practices ,and procedures from project commencement through to completion. The Senior Quantity Surveyor must have a good understanding of commercial contract law, drafting subcontract agreements, assessing payment claims and variations, enforcing adherence to contractual terms and risk management. The position may also involve junior and peer mentoring to ensure development and skill transfer within the business. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring adherence to contract terms and conditions and managing risk protection Negotiating favourable outcomes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers Managing risks and resolving problems as they arise Procuring subcontractors and compiling subcontract agreements Assessing payment claims and variations Measuring, estimating and valuing variation claims Establishing rates from first principles Preparing and submitting variation claims Providing monthly cost reports and accurate cost forecasts Managing relationships with clients and key project stakeholders Overseeing the project team to achieve all financial deliverables and outcomes Commercial experience necessary Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management 3+ years experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor position CostX (training provided) CAT Projects (training provided) Competitive remuneration package Health, Life, Trauma & Income Protection Insurance A great range of other wellness and corporate benefits On-going training and support, to shape your own opportunities and career journey Work alongside an ambitious, high-performing team in a dynamic environment Drive change, make a positive difference, and build confidence in construction for the industry
