Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all cost and contractual issues on Main contract as well as Sub-contracts connected to the project.

A summary of the responsibilities for this position is, and not limited to, as follows:

  • Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
  • Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
  • Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
  • Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
  • Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
  • Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials.
  • Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims.With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management on their position of the contract from the tender stage

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities on buildings projects worth at least $100 million.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Candidates with knowledge in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC, FIDIC Short Form of Contracts will be an added advantage.
