. The Opportunity:
In the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor you will join an established cost consulting team based in Ontario. Our team provides services for projects in all provinces across Canada in the Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Governmental, Transportation and Infrastructure Buildings sectors.
Preparing quantities and cost estimates at concept and schematic design stages.
Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from the early design development stages to tender and construction-ready architectural, structural, and civil works drawings and specifications.
Performing detailed review of contract specifications and drawings to identify errors, discrepancies and/or ambiguities which may impact estimate accuracy.
Preparing a quantity variance report at various stages of cost planning and for bid analysis when required.
Assisting in value engineering assignments.
Completing peer reviews of external estimates and budgets and making recommendations as to format and accuracy.
Supporting commercial and project management teams with cost analysis for delay claims and Change Order Requests.
Maintaining current construction cost information using a combination of historical costs, market research, and construction cost indices.
