Our Algorithms and Error Control department is very active in exploring and optimizing quantum algorithms. Join us to fill the connection between these algorithms and their applications!
We are looking for a Senior Quantum Application Engineer to support our mission of expanding the frontier of scientific and technological progress. We are looking for a colleague who will act as a crucial link between business and technology ideally in our Munich office.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

M.Sc. in physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a similar field
Knowledge of quantum algorithms, or quantum information
Domain knowledge on areas where quantum computers are expected to have applications
if you have expertise in one of the three key areas where quantum computing is expected to make an impact—finance, materials, or life sciences—we would be absolutely thrilled!
Very advantageous (i.e. not needed but good to have) business experience
Willingness to work in collaboration with business teams, customers and external partners
Ability to explain, illustrate and communicate intricate findings to a broad audience with various levels of knowledge
Ability to quickly parse through quantum computing application papers
Willingness to learn and keep your skills and knowledge fresh and are always eager to learn more
Passion for and deep knowledge of applications of quantum computing in the industry
As a senior team member, we further expect you to have:
More than 3 years of post-graduate experience, preferably both in academia and industry
Experience in leading people and in high-level of interpersonal skills
Ability to understand the big picture of topics and to set the strategy together with both business and technology relevant stakeholders
Clarity in decision making process, including the ability to align and negotiate with other parties involved and to communicate the decision.
