Description
Essential Duties: We’re looking for an experienced scientist to join a team committed to conducting low-noise, cryogenic experiments on sensitive spin qubit devices through the development of new measurement techniques and methods. This will require mastering the operation of spin qubit devices to advance the state-of-the-art through collaboration with other project teams (e.g. software, theory, signal modeling, etc.). Candidates will solve high-impact problems by maturing novel ideas and concepts to testable implementations. Required Skills: This position requires expertise in modern experimental physics techniques including troubleshooting analog electronics and noise analysis Mastery in scientific programming for data analysis and hardware interfacing. Demonstrated experience in scientific communication through technical presentations and journal publications. Ability and desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment that integrates physics, software development, data science, and engineering. Required Education: Ph.D. and 8+ years of experience in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on quantum devices or technologies. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment. Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment and be on-site at least 4 days a week. Special Requirements: U.S. citizenship and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance Compensation: The base salary range for this full-time position is $182,720 - $234,168 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
