For Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH in Ludwigshafen am Rhein/Germany we are looking for a Senior R&D Lab Chemist Catalyst to join our R&D Lab team at earliest date possible.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Completed studies as a Chemist or Chemical Engineer
  • PhD and 2-3 years of professional experience preferred
  • Experience in heterogeneous catalysis, support materials or kinetics advantageous
  • Analytical and leadership skills
  • Methodical, solution-oriented approach to work
  • Initiative, independence and ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge in the use of Excel for data analysis
  • Experience with Advanced Data Evaluation tools desirable
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
  • Development of heterogeneous polymerization catalysts and their optimization in modern polymerization processes
  • Management and organization of a team of 2 - 3 chemical laboratory technicians
  • Management of research projects
  • Analysis, documentation and evaluation of analytical data generated in the laboratory
  • Knowledge and evaluation of the latest patent applications and scientific literature in the field
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of safety rules as well as company policies
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with polymer and process experts as well as external cooperation partners in an international environment
