Responsibilities
  1. Provide operational clinical administrative support of the Northern Territory Government Patient Archiving and Communication
    System and Radiology Information Systems at Alice Springs Hospital and across Central Australia.
  2. Provide clinical advice, support, education and analysis related to the appropriate use and implementation of existing and new system
    architectures and upgrades applicable to radiology patient registration, processing and integration.
  3. Provide medical imaging services at the Alice Springs Hospital as required to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  4. 24-hour shift work and/or on-call may be required.
  5. Recognise the hospitals ongoing commitment to Quality Assurance through personal accountability for standards of care and work
    practice and participation in the department’s quality program.
  6. At all times adhere to safe work practices and the department radiation policy as recommended by the department to reduce the
    likelihood of accidents and unnecessary radiation exposure.
  7. Liaise with Medical Officers, appropriate hospital staff or the radiologist to clarify referral request details or to ascertain relevant clinical
    history to ensure that the most appropriate procedure is performed.
  8. Perform patient registration functions for the purpose of Radiology procedures ensuring data is correctly entered into information
    systems.
  9. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in
    order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  10. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
