About the role Join a team that plays a vital role in keeping our city safe, welcoming and well‑maintained. This position delivers high‑quality regulatory, compliance and community services that protect public safety, amenity and the environment across the City of Parramatta. On a daily basis you will: Patrol Council‑managed areas, respond to community complaints and enforce relevant legislation fairly and consistently. Investigate compliance matters, prepare accurate briefs of evidence and attend court when required. Manage animal‑related responsibilities including capturing, impounding and transporting stray animals, and investigating dog attacks or dangerous dog matters. Conduct proactive inspections and compliance programs across known hotspots, including issues such as dumped rubbish, littering and environmental breaches. Provide guidance, training and mentoring to new and existing staff, and support community education initiatives. About You You’re someone who enjoys meaningful work that blends community engagement, problem‑solving and time outdoors. You bring sound judgement, strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach to resolving challenging situations. Qualifications / Licences Microchipping certification, or willingness to obtain prior commencement Current Class C Driver’s Licence. Certificate IV in Government Investigations and/or equivalent Certificate IV‑level qualification What’s on offer We are offering an attractive remuneration from $96,262.36 to $106,006.97 plus 12% superannuation.
