Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work for our client within the consulting sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London or Manchester.
As a Software Engineer you will be experienced in building/deploying to a live environment. You will have good communication skills to support, mentor and grow the skill level of the team. This role requires someone who will demonstrate resilience and have the ability to perform under pressure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain web applications using React and Node.js
  • Build and deploy applications to live environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables
