WHAT YOU’LL DO:

We are seeking a results-driven professional with strong communication and negotiation skills to join our team as a Senior Recovery Specialist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing distressed commercial loan and lease contracts, with a focus on the transportation industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced analytical and organizational skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage a portfolio of distressed commercial transportation loan and lease contracts, focusing on optimizing recovery and minimizing losses.
  • Lead resolution efforts for delinquency matters, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Utilize skip tracing tools and investigative techniques to locate missing commercial transportation equipment.
  • Research and analyze data from multiple sources, including GPS tracking, financial records, public databases, and industry contacts.
  • Develop strategies for locating and securing assets while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Equipment Management teams to handle high value litigation and bankruptcy matters related to transportation assets.
  • Retain and manage outside counsel for legal and bankruptcy cases, including setting budgets and approving attorney bills.
  • Draft and issue legal documents such as Reservation of Rights notices, Default notices, and Forbearance Agreements.
  • Represent the company in court for mediation, replevin, or contested matters as needed.
  • Analyze financial and collateral information of defaulted credits for restructuring or forbearance agreements, with a focus on transportation industry specifics.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly collection reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective resolution of complex transportation finance cases.
