The Society of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 40 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. Responsibilities

You will work in the Adult Substance Misuse Community Service at The Recovery Hub in Southsea. You will join the management structure of this service, have direct line management of a team of Recovery Workers, manage a caseload of service users and support the SSJ Team Leaders, Service Manager and Inclusion NHS Clinical Manager to deliver a safe, creative and service user lead treatment service experience.
- Be part of a dynamic management team leading on the implementation and development of Vanguard Systems Thinking
- Develop local protocols and procedures to continually develop the service to provide what matters to our service users and our community
- Develop work practices to ensure the effective and safe operation of the service and the service performs as a centre of excellence for Substance Misuse needs
- Train existing and new staff in working with addiction, recovery and Vanguard Systems Thinking and develop others to deliver training in accordance with this way of working
- Role model exceptionally high standards of service delivery, professionalism and service user focus
- Provide individual supervision and appraisals to all those under direct line management and through consultation with them identify training and development needs and necessary skills to become a reflective practitioner
- Be responsible for ensuring that staff are carrying out their duties correctly and safely and support the Team Leader with service user and staff issues as required
- Deliver direct case management of service users, risk assessment, recovery planning whilst working within a multidisciplinary team and alongside key partner agencies in health, housing, criminal justice and social care
- Working in close partnership with your Criminal Justice Team Leader to manage budgets for client’s treatment and take part in data collection whilst working with national NDTMS targets
