The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is a collaborative service between Wellways and Royal Melbourne Hospital. Travancore PARC is located in a community setting and provides an option for people who are becoming unwell, or need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones. The Senior Recovery Worker plays a vital role in working with participants of the program as well as providing senior support to the team and the Program Manager, including direct recovery work with participants, operational support and improvements to support the ongoing quality of the program. About the program PARC is a step up, step down short stay residential program that provides clinical and psychosocial support to participants, to prevent the need for hospitalisation or after an inpatient stay to support ongoing recovery. All our recovery services value cultural diversity, support and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation and leadership and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice. What do you need? Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field OR tertiary qualifications in social science or related discipline (current studies also considered). A minimum of 2+ years' experience in the field of mental health and/or disability. Working rights within Australia. Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel (Desirable). Evidence of, or a willingness to undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check - Employee. NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate. Why us?
